It is directly attached to the clinic for radiotherapy and the radio oncological focus of the Alb Fils Klinken.
Which kinds of tumours can be treated with the CyberKnife®?
Radiosurgery with the CyberKnife® is especially suitable for treating benign tumours of the brain and skull base. Examples are meningiomas, acoustic neuromas, craniopharyngiomas and other benign and malignant tumours of the brain. It is also very suitable as a therapy for brain metastases.
The system also offers new possibilities for non-invasive radiosurgery treatment of tumours and metastases on the spine and the entire core of the body. Because of its ability to capture moving targets in real time, the system has definite advantages for treating tumours in the moving organs, like lungs, liver, kidneys and adrenal glands.
