Typical uses for the CyberKnife^® in the brain region are the treatment of brain metastases, meningiomas, acoustic neuromas, vestibular schwannoma, neurinomas of other brain nerves, pituitary adenomas, craniopharyngiomas, vascular malformations (AV-angiomas) as well as the treatment of trigeminal neuralgia (face pain). Radiosurgery can also be applied in some cases of returning malignant primary brain tumours (gliomas).
