Additional treatment options
The flexibility of the robotic arm makes it possible to treat tumours in each region of the body. If a tumour wasn’t completely removed during surgery the CyberKnife® can be used to finish the job. On the other hand, the CyberKnife® is used for treating complex tumours that can’t be surgically removed.
High local effectiveness
Treatment in comfortable supine position
The patient is laying on their back, without breathing suppression being necessary. Because of the unique abilities of the CyberKnife®, it is not necessary to stabilize the patient’s skull.
Only few sessions
One CyberKnife® treatment usually consists of one to five session, which take about an hour each. Therefore, patients are able to complete their treatment in one to five days (regular radiotherapy usually takes multiple weeks).
Painless, few side effects
The system offers a painless, non-invasive, ambulatory treatment. It’s possible to return to every-day activities right after the session.
